Zain is an experienced rollingstock engineer with over 7 years of
experience in the rail industry.
He has experience in conducting RAMS and system assurance activities, assisting in new rolling stock procurement, testing and commissioning of new rolling stock, design verification and validation of new rolling stock, maintenance optimisation of existing fleets, asset management, investigation of train failures and hands-on experience on clearing major defects.
Engineering experience
Zain has been involved in multiple engineering projects such as:
- Independent certification of new rolling stock being procured in Australia
- Compliance of rolling stock operating in different RIMS across Australia
- Conducting audits on rolling stock vehicles to ensure they were procured properly and meet the minimum network requirements.
With excellent design knowledge of rolling stock combined with hands on experience, Zain is capable of taking a holistic view when making pragmatic decisions on the technical aspects for rolling stock.

Zain has led and delivered many technical engineering projects, including:
- Mechanical design reviews of new and existing rolling stock
- Rolling stock compliance and verifications,
