Paul possesses deep technical expertise in signalling technology, train detection systems, level crossing protection, and signalling power systems. His extensive experience includes the evaluation, testing, and commissioning of advanced signalling equipment, along with the development of national and Australian standards.
He has contributed to the safety and reliability of rail operations through detailed incident investigations, traction return assessments, and manufacturing compliance management. Paul’s technical leadership is evident in his authorship of critical rail industry standards, including AS7717 and AS7721, and his hands-on involvement in major signalling and rolling stock compliance projects.
