CBH is procuring 17 narrow gauge locomotives from Wabtec for their operations in Western Australia.
Engaged as the Independent Certifier on the project, Rail Confidence’s Stephen Muscat and Ben Calder travelled to Bangalore, India recently with our colleagues at CBH to progress and finalise compliance activities related to conformance with Australian standards.
This is a prime example of involving Australian rail specialists early enough in the vehicle procurement and design process, to mitigate risks and compliance surprises upon delivery and acheive safer and more reliable operations from day one.
