From leading the operations team for Auckland Light Rail’s business case to pioneering net-zero carbon projects, William’s strategic vision has shaped the future of transport infrastructure, aligning perfectly with our goals at Rail Confidence. 

William’s role in multi-billion-dollar projects like Parramatta Light Rail and the Inland Rail Interface Improvement Program demonstrates his skills at navigating complex challenges and delivering world-class capabilities to our transport advisory group.

Career History

William began his career as an engineer, later expanding his expertise to include business leadership and technology, driven by a strong passion for business growth. As a Managing Director, he successfully developed and led high-performing sales teams, while also formulating strategies and processes that significantly contributed to business expansion across Australia and Asia.

In his most recent full-time role, William served as the head of a transport advisory group, where his team provided expert counsel on multi-billion-dollar transport infrastructure projects. This role allowed him to navigate the complexities of engaging with diverse stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.

Leadership

William is particularly passionate about the challenges and opportunities in advancing towards net-zero carbon emissions. His experience has given him valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within the manufacturing and transportation infrastructure sectors.

Since transitioning from his last full-time position, William has remained flexible in his approach, assisting business leaders in applying strategic and objective thinking to drive business growth. He is eager to continue sharing his expertise in strategy, leadership, business development, multi-billion infrastructure project planning, and the commercialisation of leading-edge technologies.
